Woman, 19, abducted and raped by three men after leaving club

Northumbria Police are investigating the rape of a 19-year-old woman in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Detectives said the woman was attacked when she was separated from friends after leaving a nightclub in the centre of the city. She was driven to an unknown location in the Newcastle and raped by three men. She was later driven to the Denton Burn area where she was freed. Two of the attackers were thought to be in their early twenties. Police appealed for witnesses who saw a three-door silver Citroë*Saxo car outside the Liquid Envy nightclub.
