Wife's tears in teacher Jeremy Forrest's trial for abduction

The wife of the teacher accused of abducting a 15-year-old schoolgirl told his trial that she had asked her husband to stop sending tweets to a girl because it was not "appropriate".
Emily Forrest told Lewes Crown Court: "I didn't think there was anything in it." But she thought he could get into trouble. Jeremy Forrest, 30, denies abducting the girl, a pupil at Bishop Bell Church of England School, in Eastbourne.
Yesterday Mrs Forrest broke down in tears as she detailed how their marriage deteriorated in the run-up to her husband's disappearance on 20 September last year. She said that, by the end of 2011, "he was staying out at night a lot and not telling me where he was going."
She said that the pair went out for dinner together on 19 September last year – the day before he left for France – and her husband "seemed a bit off" and mooted leaving his profession and setting up a music café. She said that he texted her the following day saying he was going to stay at his parents' house that night because he had a course in London and would then "be staying at a friend's house for the weekend".
