Man charged with murder of woman found bludgeoned to death in London garden
Sandra Zmijab died of head injury after suffering 'sustained assault with a heavy blunt object'
A man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was bludgeoned with a blunt object in west London.
The body of Sandra Zmijan, 32, was found in the back garden of a house in Whittington Avenue, Hayes, on Monday.
A post-mortem showed she died of a head injury after suffering a “sustained assault with a heavy blunt object”, the Metropolitan Police said.
Detectives have charged Wojciech Tadewicz, 26, of Whittington Avenue, with her murder and he will appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation.
“Ms Zmijan's body was discovered in the garden of the address in Whittington Avenue on Monday,” the Met said.
“A post-mortem examination carried out at Uxbridge Mortuary on Wednesday gave cause of death as head injury through a sustained assault with a heavy blunt object.”
The incident comes after the number of homicides in London so far this year reached 100 earlier this month.
