Police have released CCTV footage showing a brutal and seemingly unprovoked attack that involved a man being repeatedly beaten over the head with a belt while on a bus in London.

In the surveillance footage from 21 November last year, an unidentified man is seen attacking a 33-year-old as he leaves the route W3 bus in Hornsey, north London.

The 33-year-old man received head injuries as a result of the attack and was treated in hospital later that day.

Police are now appealing for any information on the attack after “exhausting all other lines of enquiry.”

They are attempting to trace Garvey Gordon, 22, who they want to speak to in connection with the attack.

He is described a black man of slim build, who is believed to have connections in Haringey and Enfield.

Police are asking anyone with information on Garvey Gordon’s whereabouts to call DC Andy Barnard 07785 398757 or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting 165570
