Detectives investigating an arson attack that killed a 52-year-old man have arrested three people.

Andrew Heath, who lived alone, died after being trapped in his flat in Chedworth Close, Warndon, Worcester, by a blaze that broke out in the early hours of December 14.

West Mercia Police said two men, aged 21 and 20, and a 17-year-old male youth were arrested at addresses in Warndon and Brickfields and are in custody at Castle Street police station in Worcester.

The arrests bring to 10 the number of people arrested in relation to the killing.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Williamson said: "I would like to reassure the public that our investigation into Andrew Heath's death is still very much in full swing.

"A dedicated team of officers and staff continues to work on the operation."
