Three arrested after girl dies in 4x4 crash
Three men were arrested today after the death of a 14-year-old girl who was injured when a 4x4 vehicle crashed into a lamppost.
West Midlands Police said the men were detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following the accident outside a filling station in the Moseley area of Birmingham at around 1am.
A police spokeswoman said the girl died in hospital after suffering serious injuries when a Jeep Cherokee struck the post in Alcester Road.
A man aged 25 was also taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.
