Sixteen-year-old taken to hospital after brawl erupts in street
A teenager was hit with a “corrosive substance” after street fight erupted in south London, police said
Scotland Yard said officers were called to reports of people fighting with weapons in South Norwood High Street on Monday afternoon.
The 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
There have been no arrests and enquiries are continuing. A section 60 order, giving officers the power to stop and search in the area, has been implemented.
A teenager was also stabbed as second brawl erupted outside a busy east London tube station on Monday afternoon.
Police said they were called out “to reports of an altercation” outside Upney Underground Station”.
Another teenage boy was also injured, London’s Metropolitan Police said, adding: ”There have been no arrests. A crime scene is in place. Enquiries continue.”
A third was was also ”stabbed in the back” at Woodford Station in northeast London.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “A man suffered an injury to his back and has been taken to hospital for treatment. Officers remain at the scene and inquiries are ongoing.”
All three incidents came less than 24-hours after another 16-year-old was stabbed in nearby Southwark.
The teenager was found in the street with stab wounds on Sunday night. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
