Police say a 38 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of muder
A man has been killed and a woman is fighting for life after a double stabbing in a car park in Suffolk.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the incident in Harland Court, close to Bury St Edmunds’ train station.
Police were called at around 3pm on Tuesday by a member of public who believed a stabbing had taken place in the car park.
Officers arrived at the scene, off Station Hill, and found a man and woman in a flat nearby suffering from stab injuries.
The man, aged in his 40s, died at the scene.
The woman, also in her 40s, was taken to hospital, where her condition has been described as critical but stable.
A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after and is being questioned by police.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to the attack to come forward, especially anyone in the area of Harland Court between 2pm and 3pm.
