Man charged over death of Specials star's grandson outside Coventry nightclub
Neville Staple said his family has been 'devastated' by the loss of Fidel Glasgow, 21
A 23-year-old man is due in court as police continue to investigate the death of a grandson of Specials singer Neville Staple.
Fidel Glasgow died after being stabbed in Coventry in the early hours of Saturday.
The 21-year-old, who is the son of Mr Staple's daughter Melanie, had been found at the rear of Club M in Croft Road and was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition but could not be saved.
Atikou Diallo was arrested in City Arcade following the disorder outside the club, West Midlands Police said.
He has been charged with violent disorder, grievous bodily harm and possession of cocaine.
Diallo, of no fixed address, is in custody and is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Detective Inspector Harry Harrison said police are still working to identify the person responsible for Mr Glasgow's death.
Appealing for anyone with information to come forward, he said: "Although an individual has been charged in connection with what happened on Saturday, we're working round the clock to identify and apprehend Fidel's killer.
"We are aware that numerous people who were at the club at the time could have vital information about what happened.
"I am appealing for anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact us."
