Southall murder: One arrested after man in his 60s stabbed to death in west London

A murder investigation has been launched after a man in his 60s was stabbed to death in west London.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing in St Mary’s Avenue, Southall, Ealing, at about 6.41pm on Saturday.

A man in his 60s was treated for a stab wound but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “Officers, London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance Service attended and treated a man in his 60s suffering with a stab wound.

“He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed.

“One man aged in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in hospital under police guard being treated for minor injuries.

“A crime scene and multiple road closures are in place while enquiries continue.”
