Sixteen-year-old girl shot outside pub

A 16-year-old girl and two men were shot today outside a pub, police said.

The girl and the men aged 20 and 25 were attacked outside the Victoria Inn in Cattell Road in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham.

They were taken to hospital following the shooting at about 2.15am.

West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "Three people were confirmed to have received gun shot injuries during the incident outside the Victoria Inn.

"None of them have received life-threatening injuries. Officers received a number of calls in relation to the incident.

"They are urgently appealing for any witnesses believed to have been at the scene to come forward and contact them with what they may have seen."

Cattell Road is currently closed to allow police to carry out their investigation.
