Sheffield shooting: Man killed and another injured after gunman opens fire on car
The two men were shot while sitting in a car in the city centre
A young man has been shot dead and another injured as they sat in a car in Sheffield city centre.
The men, both 22, were shot in Derek Dooley Way, at around 10.15pm yesterday, South Yorkshire Police said.
They were taken to hospital but the passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead. The driver remains in hospital in a stable condition, police said.
Both men are from the Sheffield area. No-one has been arrested.
Two lanes of the Sheffield Parkway into the city centre were closed as police continued their inquiries.
