Two men being held in custody and charged over an armed raid at Selfridges department store will appear in court today.

Sam Curtin, 24 and Connor Groake, 19, have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated vehicle taking. Both men will appear at Kingston Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.

The busy Oxford Street Selfridges store was raided on 6 June at 8:30pm by a gang of six wearing religious clothing to disguise their identities.

The robbers fled the shop after smashing counters using axes and sledge hammers to steal luxury watches.
