Pupil threatens to 'kill as many people as possible' at school in Facebook post
Police launch investigation after student posts warning of 'bullets, bodies, and blood'
A pupil has reportedly threatened to "kill as many people as possible" at a Lancashire secondary school in a sinister Facebook post.
Police have launched an investigation after the student posted a warning of an attack at Montogomery High School in Blackpool, involving “bullets, bodies, and blood.”
The student posted a series of messages some of which praised previous school killers, including US killers Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, who between them murdered 12 students and one teacher at Columbine High School, Colorado, in 1999.
According to the Blackpool Gazette, the poster praises the killers, saying: "These guys are great. They killed a bunch of people in their high school and then killed themselves.
They also added: “On Monday, the bullies will be sorry when I go into school with a gun.
"Nobody talks to me or notices me except when they’re calling me a nerd and pushing me around.
"As soon as I tell people I’ve got a gun, I start getting bombarded with messages."
School principal Tony Nicholson said the school would be open as normal on Monday and he was satisfied with the police response.
“We are satisfied the police are doing everything possible to investigate and protect, and they are providing strong support in order to help us to safely open the school as normal on Monday morning,” Mr Nicholson told the Blackpool Gazette.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said there would be an appropriate police response on Monday to ensure the safety of everyone at the school.
