Police 'illegally kettled children at fees march'
The Metropolitan Police illegally "kettled" children as young as 11 when its officers contained tuition fees protesters in London, a court has heard.
The High Court was told how one 11-year-old was detained until after dark on one of the coldest nights of last year.
Three teenagers are seeking damages for a breach of their human rights after being held on 24 November.
Adam Castle, 16, his sister Rosie, 15, and Sam Eaton, 16, all from north London, were among 10 friends held.
The Metropolitan Police claims it did not expect large numbers of children to attend the protest.
The case continues today.
