Police find more missing millions

Police investigating the £53 million Securitas heist found several million pounds following a raid in south east London, they said today.

A 43-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods following yesterday's operation at an industrial premises in Welling.

A number of bags recovered at the scene were currently being examined for forensic evidence.

A spokesman for Kent police added that money had been found following searches at Elderden Farm, Staplehurst, but that the amount was "not significant".

The heist, Britain's biggest ever cash robbery, happened at the Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent, in the early hours of Wednesday last week.

Meanwhile, detectives have been granted a further extension until 2pm today to continue questioning a 33-year-old man arrested on Monday.

A man arrested at an address in Crowborough, East Sussex, yesterday by officers from the inquiry team was released without charge last night. A woman arrested yesterday has also been released without charge.

Jetmir Bucpapa, a 24-year-old man from Tonbridge, who was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, was remanded in custody by magistrates in Maidstone today.

He is the fourth person to be charged in connection with the raid.
