Murdered nurse Rui Li’s stepson charged with assisting an offender

The son of a man accused of murdering his 44-year-old wife has been charged with assisting an offender, Dorset Police said.
Rui Li, a nurse at Poole Hospital, was found dead in the boot of a car in Bournemouth on Friday.
Her husband Pierre Legris, 60, has been charged with her murder and is due to appear before magistrates on Monday.
In a statement, Dorset Police said: “A second man has now been charged in connection with Rui Li’s murder. Rui Li’s stepson, 26-year-old Jonathan Legris, of Bournemouth, has been charged with assisting an offender.”
Jonathan Legris was released on bail until a hearing at Bournemouth Magistrates Court on 17 June.
Ms Li was last seen alive by her 18-year-old daughter, Lu Yao, at her home on 23 May.
Detectives said Ms Li moved to the UK from China a decade ago and had worked at the hospital since 2009.
They said Ms Li lived “quite a private personal life” and officers were trying to build a picture of her lifestyle.
