Murder probe after van man is run over
Detectives are questioning a man over the murder of a delivery driver - who was run over by his own van.
Police described Charles Bunyasi, 47, as a hard working family man.
He was making a delivery to a house in Coulsdon, south London, at 11am on Saturday when his vehicle was stolen.
Scotland Yard detectives believe he sustained fatal injuries when he was struck.
Mr Bunyasi, from Mitcham, was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead at 5.45pm that day.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and is in custody at a south London police station.
Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons said: "Mr Bunyasi was a hard working man who was in the process of making a delivery to help support his family.
"It is a tragedy that he has lost his life in this manner."
Police recovered the stolen van yesterday, after finding it in Purley.
A post-mortem examination is due to be held today.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room on 020 8721 4961 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
