Mother jailed for three killings

A mother who killed her three young children in a "ghastly and grotesque" attack after fearing she would lose them in a custody battle was jailed for 16 years yesterday.

Theresa Riggi, 47, stabbed her eight-year-old twins, Austin and Luke, and Cecilia, five, at their Edinburgh home in August. She admitted culpable homicide at the High Court in Glasgow.
