Manchester murder investigation launched after two found dead in Trafford park

A murder probe has been launched after two bodies were found in a park in Manchester.

The bodies were found at Davyhulme Park in Trafford, and police and ambulance crews were called to the scene just after 8.40am on 31 July.

Greater Manchester police said that the bodies that had been discovered belonged to two men who were both aged in their 50s.

The deaths are not being treated as suspicious, the Manchester Evening News reported.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called just after 8.40am to reports that two bodies had been found in Davyhulme Park.

“Officers have attended and a scene has been put in place. An investigation is underway.”

A large police cordon remains in place as investigations continue.
