Paramilitary style attack took place in the Waterside area of the city
A pair of masked raiders shot a man in both legs in the Northern Irish city of Derry, police said.
The paramilitary style attack took place in the Waterside area of the city on Tuesday night, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said.
The victim, who is in his thirties, is receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
"Officers would ask anyone with any information to contact them on Strand Road on 101," a PSNI spokesman said.
The shooting is the third of it's kind in less than month in the city.
On September 30 another man in his thirties was also shot in both legs in the Moss Park area of the city.
Four days earlier, in the Leafair Gardens of the city, another man, also in his thirties was also struck in both legs and taken to hospital.
It is unclear whether the incidents are linked.
