Man fights for life after stabbing

A man was in a "life threatening" condition in hospital today and two of his friends injured after they were was stabbed in the street, police said.

The men, believed to be eastern European, were attacked by a gang in Acton, west London, in the early hours of this morning.

The three victims, all in their 20s, were taken to hospital.

One of the men received stab wounds to his hand and back and was described by police as being in a "life-threatening condition".

The second man suffered a stab wound to his groin and the third received minor facial injuries.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the men had been attacked by a group of black men.

He said: "Police were called at 12.45am to Ludlow Court, Park Road East, to reports of a stabbing.

"Three men had been attacked in nearby Radley Close."

No arrests had yet been made, police said.
