A man will appear in court tomorrow charged with the murder of a teenage schoolboy who was stabbed to death, police said.

Serif Aslan, 33, is accused of murdering 15-year-old Kasey Gordon in Tottenham, north London, on Thursday afternoon.

Three of his friends also suffered stab wounds in the incident outside a parade of shops on West Green Road.

The boys, two aged 14 and one aged 16, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The eldest is still receiving treatment while the other two were discharged.

A flood of tributes were paid to Kasey, whose sister left a bunch of yellow roses at the scene with the message: "To my bro Kasey. You didn't have time to grow into a man! I loved you! I still love you! God bless you. RIP. From your sister Dione."

Dozens of tearful teenagers laid flowers and sympathy cards beside a tree in nearby school Park View Academy.

Park View headteacher Alex Atherton said: "The whole school community is in shock as we mourn the tragic loss of our student.

"He was a highly talented and popular student who had a brilliant future in front of him. He will be very sadly missed by everyone.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as well as the other three pupils who were injured."

The school has been dogged by violence. Last July, a 14-year-old pupil was stabbed in the back in an apparently random attack.

Aslan, of Phillip Lane, Tottenham, was charged with murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm and one count of actual bodily harm.
