Man charged over dog walker's 1995 murder

A 34-year-old man was charged today with the murder of mother Vikki Thompson, who was attacked while walking her dog 14 years ago

Mrs Thompson, 30, died on August 18 1995, six days after she was attacked while walking down a country lane in Ascott-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire.

The man, who was not named by police, was arrested in the same village yesterday. He will appear at Oxford Crown Court later today.
