Two men left with 'life-changing injuries' after being shot while filming music video in London
Police appeal for witnesses, saying there were approximately 40 people watching video being made in Crystal Palace
Police are appealing for witnesses after two men suffered injuries in a double shooting in south London while filming a music video.
The men, aged 24 and 25 are said to have sustained injuries in the attack in Lunham Road, Crystal Palace, which are “potentially life changing”.
The Metropolitan Police said a large crowd was in the area at the time, watching or helping with the music video when the suspects approached, and “a number of shots were fired”.
A female bystander also sustained a minor injury.
Officers from the Met’s Trident Crime and Area Command are leading the investigation and said they are “keeping an open mind to the motive”, but added “one line of enquiry is that the attack may be gang-related”.
Detective Inspector Ed Facer, who is leading the investigation, said: “At the time of this attack we believe there were approximately 40 people in the area watching or filming a music video being made.
“Understandably most of these people panicked and fled the scene; however we need to hear from them as a matter of urgency.
“The witnesses may have some mobile phone footage of the suspects that could really help our investigation and I would urge them to come forward to police to give an account of what they saw.”
No arrests have been made and police enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed this incident but has not yet spoken with police is asked to call 101 quoting reference 5795/31OCT, tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
