A man has been left with serious injuries after he was stabbed on a street in Leeds.

The 37-year-old victim was approached by the attacker on Easterly Road at about 1.30pm on Friday, said West Yorkshire Police.

He was able to get to a family member’s home in Gipton Wood Avenue after sustaining stab wounds and was taken to hospital.

The man’s injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.

Police have described the attacker as a black male and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
