Langham's wife says family may lose home as actor returns to TV for 'frank' interview

Chris Langham is to appear in a 45-minute television interview, marking the start of an attempted comeback after his conviction for downloading child pornography.
The Bafta award-winning writer and actor, who was dropped by the BBC after his conviction in August, will feature on More4's 'Shrink Rap' on 14 January. He is to talk frankly about his downloading of indecent images of children, and of his own alleged sexual abuse, aged eight, by a family friend. Langham served three months of a 10-month sentence; he was released in November on appeal. At one point in the interview Langham reportedly says: "I am a compulsive liar," prompting stiff questioning from interviewer Dr Pamela Connolly.
Langham's wife, Christine, claimed in 'The Observer' that the couple face the loss of their home, in Kent. "We're holding on by the skin of our teeth financially." Langham himself added: "It never occurred to me that what I was doing was... offensive to other victims of sexual abuse. But it has been made clear to me that I have been and I am sorry for that."
