Inquiry launched after body found in woodland

A police investigation was under way after a body was found in woodland.

Kent Police said the body was found in a wooded area at the end of Canal Road in Higham, Gravesham, at about 4pm yesterday.

A spokeswoman said the area was cordoned off to allow forensic examination of the scene.

No further details about the discovery were given by Kent Police.
