Injured Moroccan on bus was 'known to police' on Continent

Police and security agencies investigating the London bombings are trying to ascertain the identity of a north African man injured in one of the blasts.
The man, believed to be from Morocco and in his late twenties, was wounded in the blast which destroyed the double-decker bus in Tavistock Square.
Security sources said last night the man was not wanted for any crimes in Britain. He is believed to be known to police on the Continent although it is unclear if this is for political activity. Investigators are looking into the possibility that the bus bomb went off accidentally. Security sources stressed that there was nothing to suggest that it was a deliberate suicide attack.
Scotland Yard Deputy Assistant Commissioner Brian Paddick said: "There is a possibility that the person with the bomb died on the bus, there's also the possibility that they just left the bag with the bomb and left."
It is believed that none of the injured man's relatives or friends have been traced and he has not been able to provide information.
