Police investigating death of man at London Tube station minutes after woman’s body found at home

Detectives believe deaths of pair known to each other are linked

Police are investigating the death of man at a London Tube station minutes after a woman’s body was found at a nearby home.

The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was found dead at a property in Ambleside Road, Brent, north London, shortly after midday on Thursday.

Around 10 minutes later, police were informed by British Transport Police of the death of a man who was hit by a train at Green Park underground station.

Police say the man, in his 30s, was known to the woman found dead in Ambleside Road.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Detectives believe the two incidents are linked.

Police are in the process of informing the woman’s next of kin.

A post-mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.

The man and woman have not yet been formally identified.
