A teenager has died after he was attacked outside a club in the Greek party town of Malia, on the island of Crete.

Archie Lloyd, 18, who had recently graduated from the prestigious Harrow public school, fell and hit his head on the ground after he was punched during a drunken argument, Greek police told The Times.

Following the attack outside the Cloud Nine nightclub on 6 August, Lloyd refused hospital treatment and returned to his hotel in Sissi, four miles away from Malia, the Mail on Sunday reported.

Friends who had joined Lloyd on the trip to Crete to celebrate completing their A-Levels later found him dead.

Sebastian Trabucatti, from East Grinstead, West Sussex, has been released on bail, after police charged him with “gross negligence leading to manslaughter”.

The 22-year-old promoter and male model denies causing Lloyd’s death.

The Foreign Office has confirmed the death of a British national on 6 Auguest, and is providing consular assistance to the family.

Malia is a notorious party hot-spot, that was the setting of the The Inbetweeners movie, where the characters celebrated leaving school.
