Appeal for information to catch South Croydon fly-tipper

Video has emerged showing the moment a brazen fly-tipper dumped three tonnes of waste on a residential street in London.

CCTV footage shows a white tipper truck dumping waste directly outside homes as it was driving along an alleyway off Croham Road in South Croydon.

The incident took place at 1.55pm on Tuesday 15 March; and it has been reported the truck was seized on Thursday 7 April. The van was half full of waste and it is now being examined for evidence.

Croydon Council have dubbed the driver their “number one fly-tipping offender”.

Councillor Stuart Collins said: “Fly-tipping costs thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money to clear up and it blights our borough, so I urge anyone with information about the van’s driver to contact our officers to help them prosecute."
