A babysitter who had sex with an 11-year-old boy she was looking after has been defended by the child's father.

Jade Hatt, 21, was minding the boy in November when she removed his clothes and had sexual intercourse with him for around 45 seconds, according to the Swindon Advertiser.

The boy’s father, who had previously had a sexual relationship with the woman, defended Hatt in court saying his son is “sex-mad” and was “fully up for the experience”, viewing it as a “notch on his belt”.

Hatt had been asked by the boy’s father to babysit on six or seven occasions, Swindon Crown Court court heard. The offence took place during one of those occasions.

Hannah Squire, prosecuting, told the court: "The boy was laying down, Jade Hatt sat on top of him, sat astride him, took off her clothes and removed his.”

"In his words she started bouncing on his private parts. Sexual intercourse took place.”

Hatt said the boy’s father noticed a love bite on his neck, while text messages from Hatt revealed what had taken place.

When arrested Hatt told police the boy had said he was 15, even though she was aware of his age as his father had told her.

Rob Ross, defending, said Hatt was small and immature and the victim was very advanced for his years.

Hatt pleaded guilty to having sex with a child.

Calling the case exceptional, Judge Tim Mousley QC sentenced Hatt to six months in jail, suspended for two years.

She must also register as a sex offender for seven years and is banned from having unsupervised contact with young boys for two years.
