An investigation is under way after an explosive device was found at a house in south Belfast.
The PSNI received reports of a suspicious object at a property in the Fortuna Street area at around 9.30pm last night.
A number of nearby houses were evacuated and army bomb experts were called to the scene where they confirmed the device was viable.
It is believed the object may have been thrown at the house and failed to detonate. It has been taken away for forensic testing.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
