A woman who won a £148m Euromillions jackpot six years ago has been charged with a minor assault against her ex-boyfriend.

Gillian Bayford Deans is accused of assaulting Gavin Innes, a campaigner who works to raise awareness about domestic abuse.

She is said to have lashed out at Mr Innes during an argument in her car in October 2017.

The couple were fighting over the 45-year-old’s refusal to support Ms Bayford Deans in an altercation with his former partner, according to The Scottish Sun.

The multimillionaire won the Euromillions prize with her ex-husband Adrian Bayford in August 2012.

At the time she was working as a healthcare assistant.

The pair divorced a year later and divided the prize money between them.

Ms Bayford Deans announced her engagement to car dealer Alan Warnock in 2014 but the pair separated in 2017.

She then briefly dated Mr Innes, an old school friend.

The pair reconnected when Mr Innes approached Ms Bayford Deans for help with a charity he was starting, aimed at helping male victims of domestic violence.

Their relationship ended in late 2017 and the millionaire moved on, marrying Brian Deans in August 2018.

Ms Bayford Deans, who is from Fife, has invested in several properties in Scotland.
