A member of the English Defence League has admitted spraying graffiti on a mosque in Hartlepool.

A plea was not formally entered but Charlotte Davies, 19, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, indicated at Durham Crown Court that she would plead guilty to conspiracy to commit racially aggravated criminal damage.

The case was adjourned for reports and she will be sentenced in October.

The Nasir Mosque, a shop and a guest house were targeted in November. Davies' co-accused, Anthony Smith, 24, of Easington Colliery, Co Durham, and Steven Vasey, 32, of Pittington, Co Durham, will enter pleas next Friday.
