Driver admits killing couple

A disqualified driver is facing jail after killing a couple while they rode their tandem bike in Bristol – as he fled police. Nicky Lovell, 38, admitted causing the deaths of Ross Simons, 34, and his wife Clare, 30, by dangerous driving.

Lovell, of Oldland Common, South Gloucestershire, also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified at Bristol Crown Court.
