Computer consultant charged over sex website
A computer consultant will appear in court later this month charged with offences in connection with a website that offered to pay the tuition fees of female students in return for sex.
Mark Lancaster, 39, from Horndean in Hampshire, is accused of trafficking a woman within the UK for the purpose of sexual exploitation and on a separate charge of voyeurism – both under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
It is alleged that the offences took place between 1 September and 30 September 2012.
He was arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Trafficking and Prostitution Unit at an address in Milton Keynes in December following an investigation by The Independent into the SponsorAScholar website.
Mr Lancaster was bailed to appear before Westminster magistrates on 26 April.
