Two men have been arrested after £12.5 million worth of heroin and cocaine was found in parcels heading to the UK.
The Hungarian nationals, aged 31 and 32, were arrested after they were caught taking delivery of 15 boxes containing the class A drugs at an address in the Filton area of Bristol, the National Crime Agency (NCA) said.
The 250kg of cocaine and 50kg of heroin - said to be worth up to £12.5m on UK streets - had earlier been intercepted by Border Force officers at the Channel Tunnel terminal in Coquelles, France.
NCA branch commander Martin Grace said: "The size of this haul indicates the involvement of significant organised criminals, who would have made millions by getting these drugs successfully to the UK market.
"Heroin and cocaine fuel violence and exploitation throughout the UK. The NCA works tirelessly with partners including Border Force to disrupt the class A drugs trade and identify those behind it.
"Our investigation continues."
The two men arrested on Monday were questioned by NCA officers before being released on bail.
