Charges for 1982 killing
A man has been charged with murdering a woman and her two children almost 30 years ago, Scotland Yard said yesterday.
Norma Richards, 27, and her daughter Samantha, nine, were stabbed to death at their home in Hackney, north London in 1982, while her second daughter, Syretta, aged seven, was drowned. Wilbert Dyce, from Forest Gate, was charged with murder after police reopened the case and is due before Westminster magistrates' court today charged with three counts of murder.
The bodies were found at the home on the Kingsgate Estate, in Dalston, Hackney, in July 1982. There were no charges at the time, but last year the case was re-examined. Police have appealed for anyone with information about the murders to come forward.
