An elderly man was kicked and stamped on as more than 10 people walked past the attack on a Nottingham street.

As the pensioner crossed road in Beeston, he was attacked by two people.

The incident on the evening 29 March was captured on CCTV footage which has now been released by Nottinghamshire Police.

A male can be seen approaching the victim, before he throws a can of beer over him. As the elderly man walks away, a woman also throws beer over his head.

The woman’s partner can be seen launching a flying kick into the man’s back, sending him sprawling to the ground.

As the elderly man tries to get up the man continues to kick and stamp on him, while stunned witnesses watch and cross the road.

Several people can be seen watching the attack unfold, but no one intervenes.

“The man was kicked and pushed to the ground before a man stamped on his head a number of times causing injuries,” a police spokesperson said. “A woman also threw beer over the victim.”

Anyone who recognises the couple is urged to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
