Burnley deaths: five arrested

Five people, including two brothers and their sister, have been arrested in connection with the deaths of two men found murdered in a flat in Burnley.

The siblings were understood to be the children of a woman, Pam Brown, who died last month in mysterious circumstances and who was the partner of James Atkinson, one of the two murdered men. Mr Atkinson's body was discovered on Tuesday along with that of Neil Gilmore. Both men had severe head injuries and their bodies were both in Mr Gilmore's flat.

Mr Atkinson had moved in to the flat a fortnight ago after his own home was subjected to an arson attack.
