Police are questioning a man aged 22 about the killing of Tyler Peter Juett, a 17-year-old burglar in Nottingham. Juett, from the Apsley area of the city, was fatally stabbed after forcing his way into a house in the Old Basford district on Friday afternoon. He was confronted by a man at the house, which is inhabited by an older Jamaican couple.

Police were called after reports of a disturbance. Tyler was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, where he died later of a single stab wound.

Officers were given extra time to question the 22-year-old. A second man, aged 21, was arrested but released without charge. Three other youths are also being questioned.

Neighbours said Old Basford had been hit by a spate of burglaries in the past few weeks. Windows had been broken and hedges set alight.

Fazal Khan, 33, a computer technician living near the scene, said: "They are good people who live in that house. They are very co-operative and nice."
