Brother of Eastenders actress Gemma McCluskie admits killing

The brother of the former EastEnders actress Gemma McCluskie has admitted responsibility for killing her. Tony McCluskie, 35, will now face trial on the issue of whether her death was murder or manslaughter, a judge at the Old Bailey said yesterday.

The torso of Ms McCluskie, 29, was found in a canal in east London on 6 March. More body parts have since been found. Mr McCluskie, of Hack- ney, will stand trial on 14 January.
