A 14-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a teacher was stabbed at a school in Bradford, the CPS said.
Supply teacher Vincent Uzomah, 50, was stabbed in the stomach at Dixons Kings Academy on Thursday morning as he started teaching a science lesson.
Uzomah, who had been working at the school for a few weeks, was rushed to hospital following the incident.
Police said he was in a stable, non-life threatening condition, and his family are by his bedside.
The schoolboy will appear before a magistrates court in Bradford on Saturday.
Martin Goldman, Chief Crown Prosecutor CPS Yorkshire and Humberside, said: "The Crown Prosecution Service has been working closely with West Yorkshire Police in connection with this case."
He went on to stress: "It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings."
