Boy, 16, arrested after teenager stabbed to death in Brixton
A murder investigation was launched after a 17-year-old boy died in hospital
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after a teenager was stabbed to death in Brixton.
The suspect is being held at a police station in south London for questioning and police are continuing to appeal for information about the killing.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said officers were called to a block of flats in Holmewood Gardens at 5pm on Sunday to reports of a stabbing.
Paramedics were called and a 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has not yet been formally identified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
