Bodies of 'mother and disabled daughter' found dead
The bodies of two people, believed to be a woman and her daughter, have been found in a house, police said yesterday.
Officers were called to an address in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, at 2pm on Saturday "following concern for the welfare of two people" at the property, a spokeswoman said. When they arrived they found two bodies.
The spokeswoman added: "Officers are investigating and trying to establish exactly what has happened.
"At this time it would appear nobody else was involved in the incident."
Police have not yet confirmed reports that the bodies are those of a mother and her disabled daughter. They have yet to be formally identified. Post-mortem examinations are due to be carried out today.
