Arrests after unexplained death following 'disturbance' at bar in Stoke

A 29-year-old man has died after a “disturbance” at a bar in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to Indi Vidual, in Hanley, in the early hours of this morning and found him unconscious.

“He was treated at the scene but sadly died at hospital a short time later,” a spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is underway by detectives.”

The man, from Sutton Coldfield, has been identified and his family have been informed but he was not publicly named.

Police said a number of arrests had been made in connection with the death but are appealing for any witnesses who were in the bar at around 1am to come forward..
