A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was discovered inside a derelict building.

West Midlands Police said officers were called to the property, in Hospital Street in the All Saints area of Wolverhampton, at around 7.35am.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Bullman said: "We are still in the very early stages of this investigation and are yet to fully establish the circumstances leading up to this man's death and exactly how he died.

"I am appealing for witnesses and am keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have information which could assist this investigation."

Police said forensic investigations would continue at the scene today and a post-mortem examination would be carried out "in due course".

Anyone with information is urged to call Force CID in Bloxwich on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
