Arrest after 17-year-old stabbed to death

A murder inquiry is under way today after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death.
The youngster was found by police collapsed in the road suffering a stab wound to the chest in the Tonge Moor area of Bolton, Greater Manchester, at around 11.30pm last night.
It is believed the injury had occurred at a nearby house following a disturbance, police said.
He was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital but doctors could not save his life.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said a 17-year-old boy from Tonge Moor has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.
A 34-year-old woman and two men aged 18 were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remain in custody for questioning.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Det Insp Terry Sweeney, of GMP's Major Incident Team, said: "This inquiry is at an early stage but I want to reassure the family and the people of Tonge Moor that we have a team of detectives investigating this tragic incident.
"We have made four arrests and this appears to be a localised incident."
Police advised motorists to avoid the Tonge Moor area of Bolton as road closures have been put in place while officers deal with the crime scene.
Local residents named the victim as Cody Turner.
One woman, who did not want to be named, said: "This area is normally OK but you do get a lot of groups hanging around in the evenings.
"I've lived here for seven years and never had a problem."
A large section of the road was sealed off this morning as a police forensic team combed the area.
Officers stood guard by police tape on a section of road cordoned off at the crime scene while more policemen conducted door-to-door inquiries in the search for witnesses.
Another neighbour, who lives on the same road as the murder scene, said the teenager was "a lovely lad".
The woman, who did not want to be named, said: "My daughter knew Cody really well.
"They used to hang around together a lot.
"She has been sent home from school because she is so upset."
Shop supervisor Mark Latham, 33, said the Tonge Moor community is "very close."
He said: "It is really tight-knit. I live with my partner just up the road and I heard about it shortly after it happened. I was really shocked, everyone I have spoken to is.
"When you kick one of us down, you get all of us, really."
Castle Hill primary school is in the road behind the murder scene, and a young mother who had just dropped off her child said the incident had "really shaken" her.
She said: "It is just scary knowing you are leaving your children in an area where this happened.
"You get a lot of kids hanging around drinking in the evenings, but I've never heard anything like this before."
A tribute group dedicated to the teenager has been set up on Facebook.
His friend, Lois Jade, who set up the group, wrote that she would "treasure all the memories" she shared with Cody.
She added: "I know you're looking down on us Cody and probably slagging us all of for being upset lol. You got took from us in such a horrible way. You will forever and always be in our hearts."
Kerry-Anne Booth said she last saw the teenager when he was a young boy.
She said: "I cant believe how grown up u were now, but some selfish idiot has made sure u don't grow further but what goes around comes around my thoughts are with you and all your family now sleep tight hun xxx"
Another friend, Rachael Taylor, said she was going to miss him "so much".
She wrote: "The laughs we had, gunner miss u mate. Much love, thoughts with family and friends".
